Senior Seismologist at the Institute of Geological and Nuclear Sciences, New Zealand I am a senior seismologist at GNS Science where I work as a member of the GeoNet monitoring group and lead GNS Sciences' FRST volcano research objective. I hold a Ph.D. from the University of Alaska-Fairbanks where I studied tomographic methods and earthquake scaling at Katmai National Park, Alaska with Steve McNutt. I also worked as a Post-doctoral researcher at the University of Leeds where I studied event location methods, and source modelling and characterization with Jurgen Neuberg. I have worked at both the Alaska Volcano Observatory and Montserrat Volcano Observatory where I have conducted a variety of research activities ranging from state of stress, attenuation and volcanic event characterisation. I also worked at the University of Hawaii at Hilo where I taught courses including geology, environmental geology and geophysics.
